About Us:
The Dance Challenge is a traveling dance competition based in Iowa, created as a unique fundraising initiative. We bring energy, artistry, and passion to every school we visit—with a focus on financially giving back to our school partners. Our events are fast-paced, high-energy, and full of unforgettable moments, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic intern to help us capture and share the magic.
 
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Media & Marketing Intern who is eager to build their portfolio and gain hands-on experience in sports photography, videography, and digital content creation. This role is perfect for a student or emerging professional who thrives in dynamic environments and has a passion for both visual storytelling and dance.  Must be available to travel on competition weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content.

  • Assist in editing and organizing media for marketing use.

  • Create engaging social media content (reels, posts, behind-the-scenes footage)

  • Collaborate with the team on marketing campaigns.

  • Help manage social media accounts.

  • Contribute creative ideas to grow The Dance Challenge’s online presence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and editing software (e.g., Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Canva).

  • Interest or experience in action/sports or event photography.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel on weekends and work flexible hours during competitions.

  • Positive attitude and team player mentality.
